Saturday – March 3
The Boston Trio
Violinist Irina Muresanu, cellist Jonah Ellsworth and founding pianist Heng-Jin Park each have distinguished careers as soloist, recitalist, chamber musician and have appeared with major orchestras and premier chamber music festivals through the United States and Europe. The trio members serve on the faculties of New England Conservatory, Boston Conservatory and MIT.

2017 Cliburn Gold Medalist
Yekwon Sunwoo
Held every four years in tribute to one of America’s greatest pianists, the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition is the Olympic Games of the piano. The 2017 Gold Medalist is 28-year-old South Korean pianist Yekwon Sunwoo.


Saturday – March 10
Jasper/Jupiter String Octet
Two acclaimed quartets join forces for a combined performance. The Jasper artists include J. Freivogel, violin; Sae Chonabayashi, violin; Sam Quintal, viola; and Rachel Henderson Freivogel, cello. The Jupiter Quartet includes Nelson Lee, violin; Megan Freivogel, violin, Liz Freivogel, viola; and Daniel McDonough, cello.


Tuesday – March 13
Olga Kern & Vladik Kern
Olga Kern, and her gifted son Vladik Kern perform a joint piano concert. With family ties to both Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff, Olga has been a festival favorite since winning the Gold Medal in the 11th Van Cliburn Piano Competition. Vladik studied at Juilliard, where he made history when, as a pre-college student, he won the prestigious Van Cliburn scholarship.

The Gems of Broadway's Golden Age
with a Tribute to Leonard Bernstein
Opera Theater of Connecticut
Singers pay tribute to the works of Comden & Green, Lerner & Lowe, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Cole Porter, and others. Artistic Director Alan Mann provides witty and informative commentary.


Saturday – March 24
Love, Passion and Revenge
In Opera and Operetta
Opera Theater of Connecticut
The concert, which will have projected supertitles, is punctuated with appropriate, humorous and informative narrations from the stage by Artistic Director Alan Man.


Tuesday – March 27
St. Lawrence String Quartet
Acclaimed Canadian Quartet returns with a fresh format for the first half of the concert, called Haydn Discovery. Geoff Nuttall, first violinist and founding member of the Quartet will explore a Haydn Quartet from various perspectives, and then the Quartet will perform the work in its entirety.
